The Astro Lava Lamp was the icon of the sixties and continues in it's popularity to the present day. A 40W bulb heats the solid wax inside, until it becomes molten and rises to the top, only to cool again and fall back down to the bottom. This cycle is governed by the laws of chaos, so each shape the wax forms will always be different. This is the classic version of the Mathmos lava lamps, and measures 44cm in height.
